In November 2025, Poland experienced a 1.1% decline in industrial output compared to the previous year. This decrease contradicted market expectations, which had anticipated a 2.7% rise, and reversed the upwardly revised 3.3% increase observed in October. This downturn marks the first contraction in industrial activity since June and represents the weakest performance since February. Contributing to this decline, growth in sectors such as water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation services slowed to 3.2% from 5.9%. Meanwhile, there was a reduction in output within the manufacturing sector, which fell by 1.4% compared to October's 3.3% increase, as well as in electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning, which dropped by 2.1% after a 1.2% growth in the previous month. Conversely, the mining and quarrying sector saw an increase in activity to 4.8% from 4%. On a month-to-month basis, industrial output plunged by 9.3% in November, a significant contrast to the upwardly revised 5.5% rise recorded in the earlier period.
