20.01.202615:22:08UTC+00Arabica Coffee Futures at Near 3-Week Low

Arabica coffee futures have softened, reaching approximately $3.51 per pound, marking the lowest level since December 2025. This downward trend is largely attributed to promising projections for the upcoming coffee harvest in Brazil, the world's leading producer. Current estimates for Brazil's 2026/27 coffee crop are stable, ranging between 70 and 80 million bags. The weather conditions continue to be predominantly favorable, with additional rainfall predicted for Brazil's primary coffee-growing regions this week. The 2026/27 crop has benefitted from improved weather conditions compared to previous years, though irregular rainfall in the Cerrado Mineiro and Mogiana regions remains a concern. The more moderate temperatures have encouraged plant growth, offering hope for recovery after five successive seasons of adverse climate effects. Furthermore, the forthcoming harvest coincides with a "positive biennial cycle," which is fostering optimism among coffee producers.
