15.09.202603:00:00UTC+00South Korea’s M3 Money Supply Edges Lower in July, Signalling Slight Liquidity Cooling

South Korea’s broad money supply (M3) recorded a marginal decline in July 2026, suggesting a small pullback in overall liquidity within the economy. According to the latest data updated on 15 September 2026, M3 slipped to 6,351.9 billion won in July from 6,362.4 billion won in June 2026.

The modest decrease in M3, which captures cash, deposits and other highly liquid assets, indicates a slight tightening in financial conditions after the previous month’s level. While the change is not dramatic, it will be watched by markets and policymakers as a possible early signal of evolving monetary and credit dynamics in the South Korean economy.
